Robin had a special birthday. She turned 11 on April 11th. For dinner, she chose Red Robin.
The servers came out and sang to her and gave her a free desert. She was duly embarrassed, but vowed to return next year.
We also went to see "Aliens verses Monsters". Taking the family to see a movie (especially a 3-D movie) has become quite expensive, but it was a fun treat.
She did make her own birthday cake. Grandma and Grandpa Olsen stopped by on their way home from the temple to help celebrate. She got some exercise clothes, a Price is Right Wii game, a craft kit from Grandpa, and a mood ring and bracelet.

I've never seen anyone so excited on their birthday. She was beaming!
Usually the girls have a special "Daddy Date", lunch and a movie, on their birthday. Robin wanted the family included. We also fed the ducks after the movie.
13yo sister gave her an African Violet along with a clay pot and paints to decorate the pot.
Robin requested and also received an exercise ball. She is currently conducting exercise classes in the living room.
She even acts older! We're proud of her.
Um, not really. You can see in the top pic she took her shoes off in the restraurant.
(And the older girl in the second looks funny.)
I love that Robin got red (embarrassed) by the singing at Red Robin.
Happy birthday to her!
The cake looks mouth-watering. How did she get the frosting so smooth? That's so sweet that she let the family in on her special daddy date. What a great girl!
Sounds like fun, I can't believe how big your kids are! I bet the price is right is fun!
