Bending the New Year

Annie and I headed over to Bend to visit the Dodge clan.
There was quite a bit more snow than we expected. We drove on chains all the way in to Sisters and then chained up again once in Bend.

We visited the High Desert Museum, which while 20 degrees outside, sported a humid room full of butter flies.

The chickens don't mind the weather as long as the water dish and coop are heated.

The Dodges outfitted us for winter weather and shared their favorite sledding spot with us. It even had a heated picnic area to defrost in. What a fun way to start the new year!

It looks like fun for all. It warms my heart that my family members love each other so much.

It was a fun way to finish up our Christmas vacation. Curtis loves the moon light. I'm glad Ken and Ann Marie came. Next time...camping at the dirt patch in warmer weather
