Five Stars

Netflix makes movie suggestions and ratings based on your past preferences. I came across one they though was "five stars" for me, the first I think I've seen with that top rating. Saint Ralph was an inspirational movie about faith and perseverance.

Other recommendable movies I've seen lately:
The Snow Walker, an interesting tale about a bush pilot who crashes in the Arctic and is saved by an Inuit girl.
The Visitor is a movie about an aging college professor who is thrown off course by an energetic drum playing immigrant.
And finally, The Time Traveler's Wife, a rather interesting if confusing tail that makes you realize you need to enjoy what ever life brings.

Let's hear some one-sentence reviews of good movies you've watched recently.

We haven't seen Snow Walker yet but enjoyed all the others. Here's my list:
The Doctor, about a surgeon who becomes more compassionate after have cancer surgery himself.
The Grass Harp, a story by Truman Capote about a boy who goes to live with two eccentric aunts.
The Blind Side, about a family that adopts a black teenager who learns to play football, based on a true story.
Charly, based on Flowers for Algernon, about a retarded man who becomes brilliant after experimental surgery.

Martian Child
August Rush
(except for the phony guitar player's fingers)
Rabbit-Proof Fence
Children of Heaven
The Kite Runner

P.S. - adding these to my queue, I HAVE seen The Snow Walker and I agree with the recommendation.

Interestingly, all the others but Charly are already on my queue.

I remember when I started this, a gift from Janeil, I figured I'd see every movie worth seeing in the first three free months. Ha! I've got 120 sitting on my list, and 34 instant. I still just do two/two a month though, and usually don't get the two instant accomplished - that's plenty for me.

Don't go out the movies though even though I get invited occasionally - I'm also content to wait for their arrival on NetFlix. ;^)
